been developed for use in military, commercial and recreational rebreathers. The main advantages of the cartridge technology are:

are optimized for CO2 duration to .5% at conditions determined by the relevant
industry standards. Micropore
uses computer aided flow analysis and in house test lab equipment designed
around the US Navy NEDU lab set up to meet design goals.
Integration is best
accomplished by designing around the ExtendAir® cartridge
in order to minimize the size of the absorbent canister and to achieve a low
Work of Breathing. Uniform air flow is a
design requirement that must be designed into the canister in order to reach
optimal efficiency. Once the engineering
work has been done the performance of the canister will be consistent and
predictable as shown in resulting test data.
